60# Power snatch

Not a fun workout, especially after the one I did yesterday. My arms started off fatigued. Finished the run at 5:00, pushups took over 6 minutes. The snatches were just one at a time. Tried 65# before the WOD, but it wasn't happening.

Finished the run at 4:47. Felt good with the run. Pushups were hard but took them one at a time. Have to do a weird wiggle to make sure i dont come down too hard on my abdomen, so my pushup form isnt great. Thanks Sandra for joining me and letting me use your weights. You got me up and going this morning!

This sucked! I wanted a sub 10. NOT! I came in at 3:50 from my run and didn't finish pushups until the 9:00 mark. Although I was able to get the first 35 but only did 5 at a time after that. I failed on my first snatch and the 10 I got were very slow. I also tried to Squat Snatch with 135# Pre-WOD but couldn't get it. The left shoulder doesn't like it!

13:08; 65lb snatch

This was ok. Hung back on the run, finished after 5 minutes; pushups were ok until I hit 60 then did 5 at a time. Before the wod Jenette and I both successfully snatched 70lbs so that was the starting weight. But I was not able to snatch it. Failed 2x's, got the bar to just above shoulders and then stripped down to 65lbs. Failed once on #6. Afterwards, we did a few snatches at 70lbs, just to prove to ourselves that we could do it! hehe! :0)

This was a great WOD; the run was fast and an all-out sprint. Pushups were tough and took them 5 at a time by the end. Started with 70# and failed twice so stripped off 5# and completed all 10 at 65#. That's a PR and I'm happy with the time.

Krista was killing me with the pushups! She's so strong on the snatch, too. Had fun trying out 70# after the WOD! Next time we'll have to bring more weight. ;-)
