So I wanted to make sure I did a wo tonight but just wasn't mustering enough motivation. I hoped that someone out there might want to push me by working out with me but that fell through. But thanks to Krista's little motivational email about working TWICE today, I got to thinking...The only reason I didn't want to workout out tonight was really because I didn't want to take 15+ minutes making my garage ready for a 10 minute thruster workout. Add in a warm-up and clean-up and by myself, I know I'd spend close to an hour out there. And I still had things to do other than working out so I knew I was too tired to sacrifice that hour.But seriously, what am I always telling people that is so great about crossfit? The 15 minute workouts! So I told myself, I may not have an hour, but I should ALWAYS have 10 minutes, right? So I put it to the test. Tonight I did 100 burpees with a goal of starting my warm-up and finishing my whole workout in under 10 minutes (a small bonus goal was to get a shower in for a true 15 minute exercise. Mission 100% accomplished!! 100 Burpees- 7:57 complete with full jumps after each one and strings of 20 unbroken. (previous time 10:22 on 3/25/11)So what did I learn from this? If I ever feel like not working out, I now HAVE to do 100 burpees. Because there's always 15 minutes to spare even on busy days!
