Paul - 17:17 RX'dStupid WOD! I pulled my left lateral back muscle doing the HSPU. Only could get 1 or 2 each time the last round. No more of those isolated muscle use exercises. Instead of HSPU I will do Push Presses. The ring dips were crazy hard after HSPU and so were the pushups. Never again this WOD!My rounds were:1st = 4:442nd = 11:153rd = 17:17
Took your advice and did Push Press instead of HSPU...13:1670lbs PPI did 2 PP at 75lbs and decided that was too much weight...next time... The ring dips were the most challenging and my form on push ups was not very good. Fatiguing upper body WOD for sure!! Hope you are ok Paul. Thanks Leslie; Nate told me to buy him a shovel so he could come help you on Thursday! :0)
If you do hand release pushups, it will help you on your form. All the way down and all the way up. Tight core! Nice Job. Remember also that I was only able to get 1 - 3 HSPU the last 2 rounds. Therefore if you were not going to hurt yourself, 75# might have been a good weight. You are strong!
Well, my hand release pushups looked like the worm; need to work on tightening my core!! I think 75lbs would have hurt. On the second set I could only do 2 and had to put the bar down. Then I think I still put the bar down 2 or 3 more times before I got to 15...put bar down once on 9. Thanks Paul! I would have liked to have done 75; impressed that Jen did 75 on her SC's yesterday!!
Perfect. Knowing all that, 70# was the perfect weight. You are right, 75# might of hurt you and also decreasing your high intensity. Good Job.
Thanks Krista, we pushed hard on this one. Would of been lazy if I had done this alone!!70lbs was a good weight, if it was highier it would of spoiled the form. I'm hurting still even as I post. Slept goog though. Paul you push your self to hard, rest for a few days;or just run!12:56Push Press70lbs
Good Job Leslie. Way to push hard with the 70#. Thank you, but it is almost impossible to take an extra rest day for me.
