REST DAY

I am runing into a slight problem. As the kids are in school and sports are approaching, I need to make sure that I not only spend time with the kids but have them active in sports as they have in the past. (Good example: Jenna came in second last year in the triathalon and she was too yound (4 yrs old) to even enter. She competed in the 5 - 6 year old group) With this issue in mind it will be tough to do workouts in the evening. I have much time in the mornings to afternoon, but understand most of you will not be able to make it due to work.

I am so proud of everybody and want everybody to continue on the path they are on, therefore I would like some feedback and sugestions that would make staying active and continuing your program while allowing myself to focus some time on the kids.

One thing I will keep going is the website. I also can and will have available the equipment to use if time permits. I always am doing a workout at home and anyone is able to join. As I have mentioned before, A nice gym or facility would be ideal. I also think that if there is enough people behind to back it, we can get the Starpoint on board and provide space somehow. This will have to take some of our brain power and connections. I believe the Resisdent's club will have more of a showing and interest in this then what they have now.

So please if there is any ideas or thoughts please let me know.

Here is my suggestion: You offer two mornings a week and two evenings(different days) a week but they would always be the same ones because you know when your kids have their activities and that doesn't change, post stuff people can do on their own (or if Starpointe gets equipment then there) for the other days and let people figure out when their workout/rest days should be. People can switch to the three on/one off for part of the week and two on/one off for the other part or something. Also if Starpointe had the equipment we could have an agreed upon workout time once during the day and once at night where the group (minus you) could gather at Starpointe and work together as buddies. This plan requires a little more self motivation but if we were all saying hey there will be a group at the Starpoint at 10 and at 6 on the days we don't go to Paul's that would probably fit everyone's schedule. Also people would have to be responsible to get a rest day in every three or two. So here is an example of a week (I just picked random days.)
Mon - meet at Paul's at 10 am or do workout on own (anyone not able to meet at Paul's meet at Starpointe at 6pm)
Tues - meet at Paul's at 6 pm or do workout on own (anyone not able to meet at Paul's meet at Starpointe at 10 am)
Wednesday - do such and such a workout or rest (anyone wanting to workout today meet at Starpointe at 10 or 6)
Thursday - meet at Pauls at 6 pm or do workout on own (anyone not able to meet at Paul's meet at Starpointe at 10 am)
Friday - do workout on own (anyone wanting to workout today meet at Starpointe at 10 or 6)
Saturday - meet at Pauls at 8 am
Sunday - work out or rest on own. (anyone wanting to workout today meet at Starpointe at 10 or 6)

Then we could post our times on the website and for the complicated ones maybe that would be on the weekend when most everyone can come to you.

Just some thoughts, I hope it gives you some ideas.

I like what Dana has to say. If two evenings are not possible, I am willing to do the workouts best I can at home or Starpointe (I'd love to work with others when possible) and work out at the Burgess gym on Saturday and/or Sunday.

I truly enjoy the group and don't want to see it change, but I agree the your kids are only kids once and MUST be the priority. I would not have exchsnged my coaching, etc. time with my kids for anything.

My back still hurts, so I won't be back before Sunday. See you all soon.
